Who are the Norfolk Republican Women?

We are an official unit of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women, The Republican Party of Virginia, National Federation of Republican Women, and the Republican National Committee. The NRW is a diverse group of very dedicated people who actively participate in campaigns and social events to support Republican candidates. Our membership is comprised of members from Norfolk, but we also have a large number of Associate men and women members from Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Newport News, and Portsmouth. One of our members is an elected Congresswoman - Congresswoman Thelma Drake. Our meetings are all open to the public and anyone can RSVP to attend a meeting by contacting us by Monday night prior to the Thursday Business Meeting.(Contact Us Link)

What are our goals?

Our primary goal is to support Republican candidates with grass roots support by volunteering our time as well as hosting special events to raise money to award to candidates once they have been nominated. We are very politically active people who want to stay informed and get behind issues that affect Republican core values and interests in Hampton Roads. To that end, NRW strives to provide programs that educate attendees about where specific candidates and those running for the Republican nomination for various positions stand on various issues. We believe that by promoting Republican core values and providing various people a platform from which to speak, our attendees are armed with more information with which to make informed choices in the voting booth on those running for office and on other issues. Guest speakers include Republican elected officials in this area as well as a host of other people who impact policy that directly affects businesses growth, port security, and economic development here in Hampton Roads.
